Sparks from the new Coil

Today I made some closeup images with the new camera. The coil was not tuned well and I had no appropriate transformer at hand, so I was limited to 100mm sparklenght Closer look Closeup of 100mmm spark to ground at ISO400 Closeup of 100mm spark to ground at ISO800 Here you see the new spark-record with the steel-topload configuration. The sparklenght measures 140mm, thats 1,87 times the windinglenght. Also see the movie. Here you see the coil with the new steel-topload. The sparklenght measures 120mm, thats 1,7 times the windinglenght. Here you see a double 120mm strike, exposure time is 1/2 second. Nice 100mm strike of the 0,5" Teslacoil Very clear image of the new 0,5 inch tesla coil. 2 seconds exposure time image of the new 0,5 inch coil. Here you see the recordsparklengh of the new 0,5" Teslacoil, the spark to ground measures 120mm, thats 1,7 times the windinglenght. This image was taken at the second run of the new 2,2nF WIMA-FKP-1 MMC. I am very satisfied with this coil Here you see the spark-record of the FKP1 Version of the 0,5" Coil. The strike measures 105mm Here you see the recordsparklengh of the new 0,5" Teslacoil until 13.11.06, the spark to ground measures 85mm, thats 1,2 times the windinglenght. Nice 2 seconds shot of the 2,2nF 250VA setup. Notice the sparks to ground are 85mm in lenght Nice 1 seconds exposure time image of the coil sparking over 75mm distance Again with distance minimized to 70mm My best image of the 0,5" coil with 2 seconds exposure time. I like this coil! Here you see the recordsparklengh in the year 2006 of the new 0,5" Teslacoil, the spark to ground measures 100mm, thats 1,43 times the windinglenght. In the background you see the new WIMA MKP10 MMC made of 40 caps. Another 100mm image of the 0,5inch coil running with new WIMA MKP10 MMC. Very nice Picture of the newest 0,5" Version with 2,2nF FKP-1 MMC and secondary coil in epoxy. |
