2 Inch Teslacoil
Sparkgap

The 2" sparkgap is a airflow-quenched static gap (some coilers call it RQ-Sparkgap). The airflow is generated by a 80x80mm fan sucking the air through small ports between each gap.

First of all a piece of 75mm pipe was taken from the leftover of the 3" secondary and the copperpipe was cut to the needed lenght.

Next, the ports get cut into the PVC-pipe and the copperpipes were fixed with threaded rods and nuts.

This is how the sparkgap looked before mounting the quenchfan.
