Here you see the record-sparklenght of the 2 inch coil. I am very happy that I was able to top the recordlenght of the old 2". The strike measures 600mm. At a windinglenght of 240mm, thats 2,5 times the windingleng (beat thaat with a 2" coil) Power input was done with the PSU of the 4" coil.

This was the first record attempt. The ladder is 480mm (2 times the winding lenght) away from the topload. Itīs a little bit crazy that I used the 4" PSU, that has 3,2KVA at lowest power setting. Thats 12kV @ 270mA.
The second attempt was 550mm.

Nice strikerailhit. Notice that I already put the topload higher, so that the sparks wouldnīt hit the strikerail so often.
