This is the new WIMA FKP1 MMC of the 3 inch teslacoil. It´s made out of 15 caps with 220nF 1250V in series for a total capacity of 14,6nF@18,75KVDC.
The caps are sticked on a rasterplate with a 4,7MOhm resistor across each cap. Connection is 4mm².
The 3" Tank is a MMC based on 30 pcs. 100nF@1,25KVDC MKP-capacitors. The Capacitors were soldered in two strings of 15 pcs. for a total capacity of 13,4nF@18,75KVDC.

Unfortunately one of the caps fail during a safetygap-firing. I believe that the current caused of the short circurit safety-gap was to high. (better not call it safety gap, though it is made for caps safety) Bear in mind that it´s clever to have some caps of the same brand spare.
