The 8" Tank is a MMC based on 312 pcs. 680nF@630VDC MKP-Capacitors. The Capacitors were soldered in Strings of 39 for a total voltage resistance of 24570VDC and a capacity of 17,4nF per rail. For the 8inch coil there are 4 to 6 of this strings in parallel for 69-104nF@24570VDC.

This is the way it looked like when I got my MMC caps from ebay.

First of all the caps were soldered to a epoxy-rasterplate with a 2,2MOhm resistor across each cap.

The I made two frames out of plexiglass to fit 8 of this 17,5nF modules.

This is one Module with 17,5nF@25KVDC.

This is the biggest MMC setup that´s possible for the 8" frames with 8 modules for 139,5nF@25KVDC.
